Today is the 115th anniversary of E.C. Segar's birthday! He is the creator of Popeye the Sailor. To celebrate his birthday, when you launch the Google search engine, he is part of the logo:

I sure hope betty boop gets to be on google sometime to celebrate her birthday

both were brought to animation by the fleischer studios although E.C segar did create the popeye strips thimble theatre & the popeye characters
