I wish they did make this. I would have loved to see that cartoon. I think that they should try making a recent Betty Boop cartoon on August 9th as a way to celebrate Betty Boop's 80th birthday :)

When Richard "Dick" Fleischer passed away last week. he thought about the Betty Boop Feature that Wasnt. In 1933 Dick, the son of Max Fleuscher of Fleischer Studios, Sought to make a feature around his fathers star character. Having had a long Career as a live action director, he enlisted his friends produvers Richard and Lily Zanuck and Alan Ladd,Jr head of MGM

They hired Jerry Rees to write and produce.and he was hired to direct.
Fred cline was hired as production designer. they staffed up and began casting. Jazz was vital to the old Betty Boop Shorts. Musican Bennie wallance brought his keen undersanding to that eras music recorded seceral demos that captured the Boop Spitit while Cheryl Wells lyrics moved the story forward.

He would later work with bennie on "Redux riding hood and the indescribable Nth",

Which is basically a Love Song Between Betty and her Estranged father Benny Boop. It was a story boarded by steve wahl, it features legendary jazz planist jimmy Rowles, and sue Raney standing in for Betty Boop.

He Will never forget the first time they played the song for Dick. He was very protective of Betty Boop and not easy to please. but he would gently but firmly say " thats not Betty". So much so that they came to expect it, ( Theu Privately Called him the Mad Bomber which a play on his gentle demenor). Expecting Dicks Harshest Criticism. They Were all quite please to see that by the end of the song he had tears in his eyes.

and thats all i know of betty boops animation, cant wait for 2010.. when the betty boop broadway comes along
