Hey!
Betty Boop hasn't had the biggest effect on my life but I did spend almost all my christmas money on her! I got a case, lipgloss, nail polish, body shimmer, patent handbag and an elctric toothbrush1 I spose that was a bit nuts!

I think that she is a great role model and I try to emulate her image as best I can... but of course I am human and do make mistakes....
But I try to be good and sweet and I try to stay pretty, just like Betty Boop!;)

I wouldn't say BB has had a dramatic effect on my life! I suppose she's affected my bank balance! Oh, and this forum makes my day at work a little more entertaining, so indirectly, BB does that! :)

That's positive statements all the way around I think!!! Yes Betty Boop represents a lot to me... she's a free spirit and fun loving and cute and smart and beautiful and courageous all at the same time!!!

I've been working on a poem for the contest and I'm still struggling with it... it's hard to put all the positives about Betty into a poem ... one that rhymes anyway...

a poem doesn't always have to rhyme?

Bikerbettyboop

well it doesn't feel like a poem if it doesn't rhyme....

I mean, not all the words. there are several ways to write a poem.

Then you should read the one I started... it's hilarious because nothing rhymes.... that's one of the difficulties of trying to write songs too... I have great ideas but when the words don't rhyme it begins to sound strange.

So maybe I'll just submit my Betty Boop poem anyway so everyone can have a good laugh.

Have you read the poems? They are all really good!! Such creative people in this forum!

Ubless someone becomes obsessed there is little to say. I get strange looks being a male and a Betty Boop Fan. Especially since I put the Suncatcher hanging from my mirror. I get asked if my wife is a fan and get some weird responses when I tell them no I am. ( my wife is a fan of no one or anything) lol But my wife likes the idea. She says that so long as I'm obsessed with Betty Boop she has no worries. It's living , breathing women that she would have a problem with ;)

bikerbetty, do submit your poem, I'd like to read it! Why would we laugh? You did your best right?

10eke, Yes, I submitted my poem since the deadline is fast approaching.

Aminal there is absolutely nothing for you to feel uneasy or ashamed or embarassed about when it comes to Betty Boop.

I've met a lot of men who love Betty Boop and some of them are some pretty tough looking guys who have her tattoed on their bodies and have her painted on their motorcycles. AND I have a lot of men who are members of the Betty Boop Motorcycle Club.

So you just keep your head up high and be proud that you love Betty Boop because there's not one single thing wrong with it.
