well all i know is it musta been so much hassle keepin her hair like that, iv got curly hair and thats hassel enough let alone having to perfect 8 symetrical curls around ur face and loads more all over aswell, imagine the hairspray!!

Well, since Betty Boop was an inspiration from Helen Kane... it is probably pin curls. Besides that hair style was popular in the 1930's. If anyone wants them here is how to get them:

other one it could be is a wave... but its more in likely a pincurl
