Wow what a cool bowling ball!! I used to bowl.. in fact, I worked as a babysitter in a bowling center for one summer back in the 60's.. it was fun.. I worked in the nursery and cared for toddlers and babies.. much easier than caring for older kids.

It can get very cold in the winter... The last few years however we havent been to bad... Low might be below 20.... Highs maybe 40 in the winter some 50's..... Summer starts in June and is basically gone by the end of September... We almost always get snow for Halloween and snow for Easter

wow snow for halloween and easter that just doesn't seem very fun, but then again back home in OR it's almost all the time raining for halloween and easter well thats always up for grabs. which is why i'm so glad we're in Hawaii now i hate being cold. :)

Wow that's what my other Montana friend says too.... you have to really love winter to be that far north... me... I'm a fair weather person... don't like it too hot or too cold.

I've heard that Hawaii is the very best place to live because of the weather... guess that's why it's so expensive to live there.

well yes it is very expensive here but i think it's mostly because everything has to be shipped in from the mainland so we have to pay for it buy paying higher prices


the funny thing is ppl come here from china and other places in asia and they think they're in heaven cause it's cheaper here than over there, so i guess we should be glad we're not as bad as they are.

I have to agree with you on the "big city lifestyle" being a bit much.. I'm older now and ready to live a slower pace of life.. I don't miss all the traffic and people of Southern California and Las Vegas!! I've heard that Hawaii is really kicked back!

yep that it is thats why my husband and I love it so much!!!!! you should come and try it one day it's great and who knows maybe you'll want to move, there are biker clubs here we see them all the time riding around and there is harley shops to ;) and you could move you're store or just open one here i could run it for you ;) (j/k)

Hi Boopcrazy... Hawaii does sound great but don't think we'll be moving. Property is too expensive there and we have close to 15 acres here in Arizona and my mom and my sister and her husband live next to us, so too much family here for us to move. We are in the middle of cattle and horse country and it's very slow lifestyle here too and we can ride almost everyday of the year. So we're pretty happy campers and love it here too!!

And boopcrazy in answer to your question I am just as happy. My partner & I have a 10+ acre property with a dam & a couple of creeks (all which are dry-due drought) it is mainly scurb land but we love it. Some surrounding properties have horses but not us, we love the wild life that comes to visit. Kangaroos, wallabies, lots of different native birds, snakes, possums & loads of other critters.

Hi Mel... I didn't get any new collectibles but I did get some new Betty Boop pj's and lounge pants and t-shirts. Always fun stuff!!

We enjoy living in the country but it's a little scarey right now because there are so many wildfires burning here in Arizona. One has already burned over 95,000 acres. We haven't had any rain for months and in the middle of a bad drought. All the plants and animals are suffering.

IT sounds like you're having a drought too and your animals must be having a rough time too.

There is a servo just around the corner from my mums place and they've decked it out like a 50's diner. with tons of memrobilia to look at an buy. And yes she has BB i got a small 20" wooden hanger of Betty its sooooo cute and i'm going back to get a few more. This place is sooo cool they een have their pumps airbrushed each of them with different stars, 1 marilyn, 2 Betty, 3 Elivs, 4 James Dean, 5 Buddy Holly & i dont recall the 6th.

its even licenced for Classic cars so they all gather there like the good ol' days.

U should find a place that can make them and i have one made, they put names and other things on them for ppl i don't see y they couldn't do that see if u could give the a pic of her to do it. It wouldn't hurt to try it out

Got mine on ebay - cost me around $85.00 Cdn. with shipping. She's awesome! Just go into ebay & put in Betty Boop on the subject line. You will be amazed at all the stuff you will find. I've bought so much great stuff at good prices.

Haven't logged on here in while - but, am sad to report that the Betty Boop ball has been retired from use. My sister has gone up a weight in her equipment, and no longer needs her! Fair bit of wear & tear, but she's still pretty fabulous!
