:hi boopman,

i have what i belive to be is an original coloured ink cartoon of betty boop and her gang i found this over 30 yrs ago up north of the great lakes in ont.can it is approx 8x12 and is signed loius clark i have tried to up load a picture but not sure if it worked....in the art work there is Betty a clown,a horse,a dog and an insect maybe a ladybug..does this have elements of originality or familiarity from the artist..any feedback is appreciated.

does it have any monatery :value..rgds

Hi,
This looks like a copy of the 1930s fan cards that were sent out by the Fleisher Studio, personalized by Max Fleisher. I have no idea who the person is that signed this one, but they are not from Fleischer Studios, and from the artwork and colors, this is most certainly a replication, something someone did for Doris. As such, no monetary value.
I've attached an original.

Thank you very much for the resaerch you did on this it is very much appreciated. I like the post card as it looks exactly like this mine only mine is in a water colour or ink. So it looks like the signed artist took this postcard and copied it his hand. I really appreciate this. Where can i get a original 30's post card like you have shown.I think this would look very nice framed alone side my picture what do you think ?. Thank you every body for your replies.If i cant find a post card as shown would any body like to purchase this art.

I've seen them every once in awhile on ebay, or hakes Americana. You'll just have to keep your eyes open!
