Hi,
Someone's birthday is coming up and I want to give her a present of a doll she used to have until it got burned up. It was a doll that looked to be papier-mâché, with the complete body including head being that material and it was thin like a barbie doll, but I think taller. It had stiff brunnette hair and was a ballerina. The eyes were painted on and was looking off to the side with a very seducive/ mystererious look for a doll. (the doll used to scare me). Her eyelashes were embossed and here painted black. I do not remember if they were realistic eyelashes, but I think they were similar to something of the first barbie doll like. I believe this is a vintage-like doll.
I really want to find this for my friend, but I do not know the name or brand of the doll.

Okay, so apparently, the name of the old company it was from was called "Mary Mack (or Mac?)" And it wasn't a ballerina, but had a Southern Bell with a pink ruffle or hem

Merrimac is the brand, but I cannot find where I can buy it.

I've been in the Betty Boop business for 11 years and I have never heard of this doll by Merrimac. I have a feeling they may be out of business or not selling that item any more.

I was hoping that I could find it on Ebay or something, but no luck. My grandmother used to work in the buisness, but there isn't even google images of the doll! It's like it went out of existance.

I'd venture a guess that that is what has happened...

Go here. This is an intersting paper doll "cut-out" site.
I think I'll print them for my students at school. The clothes
are there too for cutting out.
I Like!

Sadly, it is 3D and not an actual paper doll, but it is made out of paper mache. It is hard to explain because I haven't seen it in a while.

It seems like it doesn't exist almost. It must have been an antique or something because I can't find it even on Ebay or Amazon.
