Why when u see classic pics of betty none of them are the maralyn pose? i always thought that was part of the classic poses and it's my fav. just wondering.

I've never found a screen capture of Betty in that pose either.

The cartoon it comes from, Betty Boop's Ups and Downs (1932), is a bit obscure. It was very surreal and never became popular. Possibly there is no decent quality print available.

Well the pictures i've seen have all been good ones but i can see how if the film wasn't very popular that the pose wouldn't be.

I should scan the pic i got from my dads wife of the 5' cardboard cut out of betty boop my dad bought her, turns out she loves her as much as i do which is cool she sent me a very pretty bb salt and pepper shake set that looks like shoes.

Those are very cool missy I love'em. I think that is the tattoo pose i'm gonna get when i get one. I have like 3 or 4 i need to get (not all are betty).

Marliyn you say? who was a 1950s icon? Well here is a little information about Marilyn that i think you should know! Marilyn was a fan of 1920s singer Helen Kane and Betty Boop aswell (Cartoon Character). She even plays a character called Suger Kane in the Movie "Some Like It Hot" and also performs the hit song " I Wanna Be Loved By You". For Halloween Marliyn once dressed up as Betty Boop. ( shame the picture isnt around it would add perfectly.) Its only right that Betty is able to do marliyns poses.
