Betty Boop in the 50"s

Hello everyone I had a question that I haven't quite found the answer to.
I know Betty Boop came out in the 30's. But i was curious if she was famous in the 50's as a cartoon. I would appreciate it if you could answer this question for me.

Im gonna be in a beauty pageant and i have to wear a 50's outfit. And i really wanted to be betty boop because i love her so much. instead of wearing a poodle skirt. so could you please let me know if betty boop was at all famous in the 50's. Thankx
