Lets do it!!!! Why not???? We just need to really organized ourselves to do such event. Like ask mghan if he would like to chair such event or someone WE can get along with. And make it a central location in the USA. Maybe Reno or Vegas??? Just throwing that out there. We would also get to meet other Boopers. Hey, if Star Wars and Star Trek can do it why not Betty Boop!!!

I've also heard of something in California but the one I heard was for children.
Also there is a flyer flying the forum that a BB convention happen last year in Southern California. If we could find the organizer of that festival, hey, that would make our efforts easier.

Well, I spoke with the owner of Heavenly Choice in Montbello, CA. She is having her 20th Annual BB Festival in July of this year, I left the info on it at home but will post tomorrow. She did say that this the 75th year for BB. Boy, I hope I look that good at 75, haha. Anyway, it sounds like lots of fun if any Boopers want to go.

Hey Fellow Boopers;

Well, I have the infor. for the 20th Anniversary of the BB Festival. Once again it is held at Montebello, CA., in LA. on July 16 & 17. I diectly spoke with Denise Hagopian, organizer, she is one BB collector. She has been collecting BB for 30 years and over 1000 items. Wow, I thought my 400 items was a lot!!! But anyway, for those BB peolple in the LA area GO GO GO!!! I live 9 hours away, in Northern California, to LA. Denise also sent me pictures of last years festival, and boy there are a lot of things there. Also there is a BB Collectors Club. I need to do some reserach before I say more.

Thats what I'm trying to tell all of us Boopers. That we need a Festival in a general location, for everyone to attend. Wouldn't it be great!!!! Maybe Reno or somewhere. Somewhere people can afford to travel and stay at and be able to attend a Swap met or a conference of How BB started and maybe also a BB look-a-like from children up to adult. Those are things I'm just throwing out there but thats only the beginning. Hey, maybe if there is BB in Northern California, we could try????!!! LEt me know.
