In my area..phoenix, arizona usa.....$2.49 per gallon

I cannot believe the prices..and i work 25 miles from home! :(

Gas is $1.88 in the area I live.
It has came down alot. Last month it got all the way to $2.20 a gallon!

We have to pay a large tax on our petrol and other things i.e cigarettes and alcohol......but these heavy taxes go toward paying for our free National Health Service, so it's swings and roundabouts really :confused:

In some states, the gas prices are almost 4 to 6 dollars per gallon. People would catch the bus more than driving their car. With the Hurricane Katrina, the gas prices are going to shoot up for the next yr. or two yrs. Maybe more......I hope not.

Try the prices in California where the refining requirements are stricter due to trying to prevent smog. Always higher here than the other states--- today, near me it's $2.30 for 87 octane regular.

HMMM the thought of living in California with out snow for Christmas would definitly be interestin. I have lived in Idaho my whole life, once visited Arizona for Christmas w/o snow, and that was weird.

I have to pay @2.25 for gas, my new car requires the middle grade of gas.

Well, I am very happy NOT to see snow after growing up with the slush (what the snow turns to there) of New York City. Actually for the most part the weather in Torrance, CA is temperate all year with some exceptions. Right now is one of those as it has been VERY COLD.

It would have to be 2.19! I looked up gas price reports on the web and the lowest I found in the US was 1.90.

That would be great, but I would have to leave at like 2 am to get to my work by 8 am. I have a 40 mile comute and I couldn't just ride through the fields cause there's a big lake between me and work so I would have to go aroudn it. Wow that's a runon sentence isn't it?

I noticed today that all the major stations in Torrance are now $2.179 for regular. the surrounding towns are about $2.239 and according to the news this evening the average (in California) is $2.279
The tv news said they expect the price to continue to drop slightly thru the holidays but to go back up a little after the 1st of the new year.
