Do you live in or near Chino Valley?? I ask because I lived there for a few years and it's 8 miles to town (Prescott).
Sorry if I'm being nosy and you'd rather not divulge that information. Just tell me to mind my own business. :P
I'm sure glad I bought a Geo Tracker that gets 30 miles per gal, yet it still costs me $30 to fill up (10 gal)! Enough already!!! You all know we will never see gas prices under $2 a gal again.

That is correct!
Here in SC gas jumped 14 cents overnight. We have a 2003 Ford Mustang; standard shift; power steering and it took a few cents over $50 to fill about 13 gal.
And we don't buy from companies who buy imported gas. We use only Sunoco and Hess; most of the rest get their oil from outside the USA. More people should boycott the major oil companies, both at the pump and everything with their name on it.
Whoaaaa!
I'm done!

Gas prices are outrageous. Has anyone seen the tv commercials that T. Boone Pickens (oil man from Texas) is promoting? He says he has a plan to help us with our high gas prices. Should be interesting to see his suggestions.
Guess what? Our gas prices went down 1 penny a gallon and it made the Phoenix news! 1 cent and that's supposed to be a big deal? What's up with that? I would be excited if it went down $1.00 a gallon... not a penny!

Well be grateful for small things like a penny down. Well, the ONLY long term solution is a sound energy policy (which probably can't include oil as a major component.) Maybe next year after the inaugaration.
Bikerbettyboop
08-12-2008, 06:19 PM
I don't think anyone has any good ideas on providing alternative sources for our energy crisis. I'm not really sure who's responsible, if it is really the governments responsibility or if it should have been private enterprise but whatever the case, the solution is not going to be an easy fix.

I think the price of gas is of little importance compared to MANY other things now. That some people can't afford gas at any price is important.
However down that long tunnel there now is hope and optimism!
