I got a new tattoo today!
It is on top of my foot.

It is a star with a fire blaze inside it. There is a tiara on top of the star.
I got it to represent my girls. The star is for my oldest daughter's middle name and the fire blaze is for my youngest daughter's middle name (blaise). And of course it has a tiara on it because they are my little princesses.

I just told the artist what I was interested in getting, we printed a couple pics out, I pieced it together and he drew it out for me. He did an excellent job!

I think I will get my Boop tat and then I will be done...hopefully! :)

It is still healing and my foot is still swollen....hoping that goes down before long! Soon as it is healed up I will take a pic and post it here!

Well you are one brave little lady in my book. Not only could I not sit still that long but I'd be crying for sure... My neice told me she got one not too long ago on her leg and she got sick to her stomach from all the stress. You really really have to want one to go through all that.

Sitting there that long is the hardest part for me as well. My last 2 took about 2 hours each.

Oh yeah, if you get uncomfortable a good artist will let you get up or adjust your position. Poddy breaks are allowed.

Oh sure, you can take a break at anytime.
The artist asked me many times if I needed a break to go get a drink or anything. I just wanted him to hurry and be done so I didn't take any breaks.

It wasn't a big ouch but now it is. I went to our state fair this past weekend and my shoes rubbed a blister on top of it! It hurts so bad! Of course, my mom says that's what I get for getting a tat...especially on the foot. :rolleyes:

I got one centered on my lower back when I was 50.... I love it. It didn't hurt that bad. The pain is always worse in your imagination. I know of women in their 60s who are saying "Heck with it! I want one!" and are getting tattos now.

The question is referencing a person with a "not so peasant to look at" spot or place on their body that they want to cover it up with a tattoo.
Using a tattoo to cover an area or a spot that maybe there is a scar, cut, burn...freckles etc.

I've mentioned this before that I saw a black and grey tat of Bty Boop on a old lady that was faded and not very nice looking! She must have gotten it when she was a young girl and she was in her 70's when I saw it! I bet it was cute back in the day!

I just remembered, a patient of mine, his name is Don got a tatoo of Betty on his forearm....and i know it was cause i showed him mine on my leg...he has been a patient there at the clinic for years and i have known him for years. He and i just laugh and laugh everytime he comes in...He will go to his appointment, but before he goes he always goes by and yells HI, JUDI...i think he is such a wonderful man and cute at that....lol....(blushing)...i told him i love Betty Boop...I have her up in my lab all over the place....and i get drawings from little people (kids) for presents....my lab...i miss my lab...darn back!

You and me both... some of those guys look like "tough guys" with all those macho tattoos but sometimes I can see them wince during the tattoo procedure and that tells me that it hurts them too!
