My husband and I were at the 23rd Annual Laughlin River Run with 75,000 other motorcycle enthusiasts. It was a blast!! Great weather and lots of vendors and activities with live entertainment and motorcycles everywhere!! The thunder and roar of the motorcycles was as always very thrilling!!

Anyway, now we're back home and back at work again!!

Hi... yes we took pics but they are still in the camera with a few pics left to shoot from the roll.

Loud pipes saves lives is a saying that motorcycle people like to use because they think that if your loud motorcycle pipes can be heard above the traffic noise, then you are more likely to be seen and heard. Most motorcycle deaths are caused by drivers of cars who claim they never saw or heard the motorcycle rider. So motorcycle riders like to say that loud pipes saves lives.

My dad recently got a new Harley and he hadn't had his pipes put on yet. He wanted to ride it to work and this lady in a car ran him off the road when she was changing lanes because she didn't see or hear him. He got his pipes put on and now you can hear him even if you can't see him.
They can be loud but I rather they be loud and safe than quiet and injured(or worse!)

no truer words were even spoken. Thank God your dad wasn't injured. I hear about this all the time... people in cars have their radios on or their windows rolled up and they just don't hear motorcycles but we have a better chance of being heard if we've got loud pipes! Congrats on your dad's new Harley!!! Good for him!!

He misses his old Harley but he went ahead and got a new one.
His other one was a redish color but when the sun hit it just right it looked pink.
Everyone kept giving him a hard time about it so he traded it in and got a new one.

I have a nephew who lives in Surprise. So I get down there every few months but we try to avoid visiting Phoenix area during the summer. I spent 4 long hot days there in July 2003. I was taking the beginning motorcycle rider's courses at Team Arizona in Gilbert. It was hot and difficult but I survived it!!!

I was born in Ohio... grew up in So. California... spent 3 years in Las Vegas and then we moved to Prescott Valley but it's gotten sooooo big! So we actually moved north of Prescott to the Chino Valley area. We live in cattle country up here. We love it!!

I've never been to Payson but would like to go sometime. I've heard it is beautiful!!

I know his other Harley was a Road King, and I think this one maybe the Electra-Glide (not real sure!).

I don't ride as a passenger, I am such a chicken!
My mom does ride with him. They go every year on a huge bike trip to somewhere in New Mexico. And of course they go on poker runs and little things like that. They try to go as much as they can in their free time.

I did see the photos of you and your husband with your Harleys. You guys have nice bikes too!
