The only Rule is that Y must be a vowel in the word not the constant you know like these words

You
Yellow
Yell

Those are not the words I am looking for.

These work also

Reply, Betty, Community... etctra, these work fine also.

BBooper
03-30-2005, 04:00 PM
oh, so it sounds like a vowel, so in Betty the Y sounds like an 'E' and in Reply it sounds like an 'I'?

What is a constant anyway ? or do you mean consenant?

Bikerbettyboop
03-30-2005, 07:25 PM
well I am soooo confused by this thread!!

Why does the word have to only contain "y" as a vowel and no other vowels can be present with it?

Candlesnboop

"Y"

Find words where "Y" is the vowel in the word.

Yellow for instant does not work it is the first letter in the word and is a constant, Hymn works cause it is within the word and is a vowel. So that is the first word to work forward on, continue from

Hymn

Do not work: Yellow, Yell, You,

These all work and so do these, I never said that Y had to be the only vowel in the word just that Y is a vowel in any word considering it is a vowel and not a consenant, (pradon me if I have been misspelling it)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
Reply, Betty, Community,Psych and Shy, sympathy, Sky, Fly, Try, My, By, Cry, Fry, Lymph, Nymph, Wry, why ecetra.... ecetra...
