funny...it is NOT! According to the courts in the US and the press...this very rich woman committed a serious offense and was found guilty...convicted and has served only 5 months...for what usually is a 20+ years sentence.

No...I can't have it in for Ms. Martha. I am aware of statistics tho.
She however, is a very blessed woman...I do think that because she's filthy rich and is WHO SHE IS...is the reason her sentencing was only 5 months. Wow...if that had been just "common everyday people" like me or you...girlfriend...we would be gone for years on in. DO you believe that?

as a matter of fact...i used to watch some of her home decorating shows on the tele. she had some i nteresting "stuff". arts and crafts. she advertised/endorsed a lot of bed wear, bathroom necessaries and appliances too. She was on a roll. i admired her...but it doesn't take away from the fact that she did wrong and went to prison.

The way I understand it... She received some "confidential knowledge" about some stocks that she owned and she sold them really fast so she wouldn't lose money on them... anyway it wasn't looked on too kindly by the government and other investors. I don't know all the details but it wasn't anything "real" criminal... she didn't rob a bank or injure anyone... well she might have hurt some investors....
