Hi,
Courtney here...well, I'm not sure if I really have the authority to make a first post here, but I'll try anyway. Being that I live here in Virginia I do happen to know of a couple of things that we have.
It may not seem like it to some, but there are actually a few good Betty Boop clothing items at Wal-mart...like tshirts and such. They also had a line of Betty Boop watches out once, but they only had them out for a very short period. First time I saw them...I had no money to buy one, then when I went back to go and get one...the salesman told me that they took back the Betty Boop line of watches to get watches with the Powerpuff Girls!!! Anyways, I am pretty sure that they are authentic because whenever I buy one (whenever I see a new one) I always see the Betty Boop logo on the tags...but unfortunately, I'm not 100% positive.
I have also picked up a few BB items in "Cheapy Stores" as I call them, which clearly have the BB official logo..."Cheapy Stores" meaning stores that sell simple tshirts and stuff at low prices...such as Rainbow and/or Fashion Cents. I have bought two pairs of BB socks and a pair of black BB bedroom shoes from these places.
There is also a store called Twentieth Century Legends that is scattered throughout Virginia...or at least my area (the Tidewater region) that has really great BB items! Hence the store's name...they also have other lines of paraphenelia...such as Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Elvis, The Wizard of Oz, etc. They have lots of things, from tin boxes to metal signs to wall stickers...I am one of their regulars!!! LOL
Want some BB jewelry? Also here in VA is a store called Piercing Pagoda that has the cutest Betty Boop gold necklace charms! They have branches though...i think another store of theirs is called Plumb Gold. Anyway, the only charm that they have is a charm with Ms. Boop in one of her pinup poses...wearing a long dress with a mink stole and that famous garter belt showing :) No colors, though....all gold.
Well, all fellow Virginians this is pretty much all that I know of for the time being, but I will not fail to update if I do hear of any other place or items that I may happen to find.
Yours truly,
