I was wondering if you would be able to give me an estimated value of items I have from the 1930’s.

We have records that were used with the Uncle Sam’s Projector (Made by Durable Toy & Novelty Corp. 200 Fifth Avenue, New York) for the following Duracolor films:

Set No. 80 Record No. 81A Betty Boop in Peter and Wendy
Set No. 80 Record No. 81B Betty Boop in She Loves Him Not
Set No. 80 Record No. 83A Betty Boop in Cinderella and the Prince
Set No. 80 Record No. 83B Betty Boop in The Bullfighter
Set No. 80 Record No. 85A Betty Boop in the Beauty and the Beast
Set No. 80 Record No. 85B Betty Boop in Betty Hoop in Holland

The record number that is the same is side a and b of a single record.

They are mostly in good condition with the individual sleeves intact of most of them. Are these worth anything without the film? Please advise.

I would appreciate any information you can provide me.

Thanks!

Hi,
The records with the sleeves intact are indeed a rarity. In fact, since you have a set of these, it makes them even rarer.
The films are not as rare, but still hard to find.
Each, in and of itself, is valuable as a collector's item. I have seen individual paper "films" go for up to $50, and individual records about the same.
Hope this helps,
-Leonard
