I started to go through my collection of bb when I registered and I would like to know what and who and how, I could show or tell someone about my very large collection. As of today, I have 3 full pages of items written down which is only half of my bedroom. I have not started the other side or any other parts of my home. Please I would really want to share my collection with someone else!!:cool:

Hey Boopsie-cola....Lucky you that you have one of the Betty Boop statues! I'd love to have them all but I need to win the lottery first.. haha.

And to Betty.... there is a brand new book coming out this fall that has been written with collectors in mind... it will help catalog many of your Betty Boop collectibles.

It's an excellent idea to keep a list of your collectibles and if you have room, you should also keep the original boxes that they came in. I have my collectibles in an inventory list on my computer and I keep any certificate of authenticity with my other important papers. My inventory list consists of a part number, description, when it was acquired and how much I paid for it. I also have pictures of the items too.

My insurance agent is the one who told me to keep an inventory list of all my valuable Betty Boop collection...So that if it is lost in a fire or stolen, I'll have some idea of the value... it may not be the replacement value but at least it shows the original value when I got it.

Many of the items I have were gifts and so I've found the same item on other websites to get an idea of the value of that item.

Good luck with your collection. I'd love to see pics of it. Your collection sounds like mine. There isn't a room in my house that doesn't have Betty Boop in it. Same with my wardrobe!!

But it looks alright.........ok then, good! but i recomend you try and get a hold of some of the resin models, as that model clearly looks plastic!

I'm sorry Deadpool but you are wrong about this being a fake... the Betty Boop statuette is an officially licensed Betty Boop item.

If my grandmother made me a BB doll, and someone tells me it's not a licensed product, would I value it any less?

I just felt I needed to respond to the allegation that your item wasn't licensed.

And I agree with the previous statement that it doesn't matter anyway because it's a beautiful statue and you like it and that's what is important. It's a wonderful addition to your collection and I'm still jealous that you have one and I don't. She is so cute and a real attention getter!!

I have to laugh though cause everytime I look at your picture I have to tilt my head sideways... ha ha...

There's a coffee shop in Prescott, Arizona and they have a similar statue of Betty Boop as a waitress and the owner told me that everyone just loves her. She puts her outside the coffee shop each morning. She told me that this Betty Boop statue is the best advertising she has ever had! I asked her if she was afraid the statue would get stolen and she said "No.. cause I have a lock and chain on her" And sure enough she has a lock attached to the base. Pretty smart thinking huh?

Well I've got to get busy.... the wind is howling across the valley this morning and we're supposed to have rain for the next two days... I don't know about you all but I'm ready for summer!!!

Are you getting as much wind as we are? We're out here in Arizona and we never get this much wind. It's terrible but not as bad as the plains and mid west...

I dread turning on the news because of the tornados. They have just been devastating and it's so sad to see so many people lose their homes and businesses and some have even lost their lives or loved ones.

I pray for summer. I'd rather have the heat than all this wind.

You asked about adding anything new to my collection... hmm.. because of the business I'm in, I'm always getting something new... NJ Croce just introduced a new Biker Betty salt and pepper shaker set and soup mug and that's cool!

Oh and Precious Dolls just came out with two new Biker Betty dolls.... so all of those items are now in my collection and available in our shop.

:D Hey bikerbetty how's things? Yes the news is depressing, i also don't like turing the tv on to news. but i know that there are alot of prayers going out to thaise families. We are also getting alot of the high winds @ rain in St. Louis, plus we get alot of flooding around here. i'm in a 1 bedrm. aprt. on the 1st. floor so it's hard to find a good place to hide other than the tub, but it to is small. btw, did u say u got a taillight of bb? if so where did u get it? and i will look for those dolls. what store r they in? well gtg for now but keep smiling things will pass b-4 u know it. boop-oop-b-doo, renee ;)

Hi Follow Boopers!!

Well, the last time I posted my collection, the response was cool. Now I have to tell you guys about my latest find. There is a toy store in Northern California that is filled with toys from floor to ceiling, And one section just of BB. I found BB TATOOS, I about jumped out of my skin when I found them. They are just BB head winking, blowing kisses, and pudgy (the dog) plus I also found a hologram BB Journal with lock and key. It didn't work when I purchased it but now it does. Also I found in a ABC Distributing Catalog, BB socks, Purse, 3 poses, shirt plus my friends and family are very big BB hunters so the collection grows. I really enjoy my collection. If anyone wants to share stories or want to know more just write.

I just don't know were I'm going to put it, but I will. Plus a just aquired 3 decks of playing cards, a button set and a car deordorizer. It just keeps growing.

Since my last post the collection has grown again. My son went to the city a couple of months ago and brought me home a salt and pepper shaker set, plus our local ladies wear shop is selling BB PJ, one of my friends told me that and now I have my set. Two handpainted xmas ornaments. Ooh, I almost forgot, my friend went to Reno and brought me home a ceramic BB pill box.
3 decks of playing cards. It just keeps growing!!!!!

Hey Follow Boopers!!

The salt and pepper shakers are shaped as a pint of ice cream and a hot fudge sundae. My son said he got me that because he knows how much I DO like hot fudge sundaes, when I'm in the mood. Now as for pictures. I wish I could share all my things with you guys but I do not have either a digtal camera or a scanner. Oh, I did forget to tell you guys that the trade or sell catagory that is on the menu really does work out. I requested a BB 2003 Calendar for my desk and now I have one, thank you.
Now I'm looking for a 2004 desk calendar, let me know.

I have A talking Biker Betty doll, Angle Betty figurine/bobble head & Little devil Betty Figurine/bobble head, Betty piggy bank, Biker Betty bobble head doll, 2 soft plush doll, 4 small Betty figurines, 1 t-shirt and another one I just ordered off Popfunk, Betty Boop dressed in Army camoflauge uniform & Biker Betty back pack/purse, 2 Betty Boop license plate's and 1 Betty tin picture. I think that's all. I would post some pictures but I don't have A digital camera or scanner. I know it's not as much as some of you all have but I'm happy with it. OH yea I also have A collection of her cartoons too.:D

On a previous post I asked if anyone knew where I could get a 2004 desk calendar. Well, that request was filled on my birthday last week. My co-workers threw me a surprise BB party. So on that note, you just know that the collection has grown. Beside the calendar, I recieved a BB coffee mug, a handmade B-day card with BB surfing, and a current issue of The Lighter Side with 6 full pages of BB items. I just can not wait to place an order!!!!!

Hey there you all, I have a few Betty Items not a lot but I would say it is a collection. My main and love of all Boop items is my Boop jacket, I have a matching purse they are Film Strip ones. I have another BB purse to, a backpack like one you know what I mean? I have two of Betty's Videos of cartoons. I also have a Betty Boop checkbook cover. I have a Betty Boop Bobble head nurse. A musical that sings the Cabera (SP) My mom bought me that. I have 3 other porceline (SP) figurines. I have Boop floor pads in my car along with a licence plate frame, and also have a boop 2cute4u licence plate that I keep off the car. I have a Boop w/ Budgy and Bimbo window sun catcher. A Boop doll I found at a yard sale. I have a Boop kleenex holder. A BB clock, one of those key things you clip your keys to and put around your neck. I have 4 t-shirts and 2 sweat shirts and a Demin long sleeved shirt all with Betty on them.I have 4 BB posters also. I have BB watch and earings.

Well I guess I had more stuff that I thought. I probably have more that that. I plan to movein with my boyfriend and my collection is just to large to put into his home. So the quesion is, Do I pack up bb and store her or do I try and reduce by selling?

It looks like most everyone is encouraging you to keep your collection... however, you should do what you feel is best for you and your situation. If you need some additional money and don't have enough room, then perhaps the solution would be to consolidate your collection into something smaller or more manageable... however, your decision is truly a personal one and this is just my 2 cents worth of input. Best wishes in whatever you decide to do. I've never sold anything out of my collection though....

I just want to say "Thank you" all who gave me their feelings about what I should do with my collection when I move in with my boyfriend.
Well Boopers, he LIKES my collection and is going to buy some shelves so I may put some of bb up. Boy, maybe that may be a mistake to buy MORE!! LOL
