hi. i guess you could say im still a child myself, my dream is to go into fashion design and i am working my hardest at the moment so i can achieve it! i will be off to college in a couple of years and im starting up my portfolio already!

:D Well I am still dreaming. I would like to one day own my own coffee and craft store. Where I am the boss and I dont have to get up so early in the morning to go to work. Not that I mind but I am not a morning person LOL. I would like to be my own boss and work my own hours and drink all the coffee I can Starbucks here I come. :eek:

But for those who still have dreams, work on them so that they can come true is what I wish for you!!!!!! Here is a little poem for you:

Don't quit

when things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road ur trudging sems all uphill,
when the funds r low and the depths r high,
anhd u want to smile, but u have to sigh,
when care is preesing u down a bit-
rest if u must but dont u quit.

life is queer with its twists and turn,
as every one of us sometimes learn,
and many a fellow turns about,
when he might have won had he stuck out,
dont give up though the pace seems low,
u may succeed with another blow.

often the goal is nearer than,
it seems to a faint and faltering man,
often the struggler has given up,
when he might have captured the victors cup,
and he learned to late,
when the night came down,
how close he was to golden crown.

success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tints of the clouds of doubt,
and u never can tell how close ur,
it may be near when it seems afar,
so stick to the light when ur hardest hit-
its when things seem worst that u mustnt quit

Hey coffee is good. Beautiful poem bb68! My child hood dream wow i had so many and still do. I always wanted to be a singer, but that career i have no hope in today. Writing haas been and will always be my specialty. I always dreamed of being a writer and writing my own book about my life and i truly believe as more years pass for me and get to experience even more in my life i will achieve in that child hood dream. But for now i am only focusing on furthering my education and bettering myself for my daughter. I know that everyone has a child hood dream and many of us don't have things go the way we want them to go as we get older. But nothing is impossible and we all can make our childhood dreams come true if we try!

My childhood dream was to become a medical doctor or a teacher.
Hehehe...I'm doing a fraction of both.
Not a doctor...but I have had the components to teach a medical class.
I currently hold a masters degree in education and am working on a certification in primary education.

hey everyone. i have always had a dream of becoming a singer, dancer, poet, artist, and a ballerina. working on all except ballerina. i was in biology and we watched a video on anerexia, and many ballerinas were anerexic. i am so glad i never took that up. but my other dreams are in progress.so good to still be young! :D sometimes.

this one is long and it is about how my life used to be, how i used to feel

my thought

it hurts my heart to say,
i live a lie everyday.
i cant stand being who i am,
i could be someone else, i really can.
no one knows how i really feel,
i've put my sorrow in an enelope, tightly sealed.
i'm not asking for helping hands,
just someone to try to understand.
i need a fresh new start,
just a little while apart.
i cant handle it anymore,
just help me find what im looking for.
no one can say they've been through it too,
they cant even imagine what i've been through.
my life shouldnt need something new,
it should rejoice until my flesh is due.
i try to make everything better,
it seems pain will follow me forever.
i put on a smile to not worry who i love,
but pain, sorrow, and tears continue to push and shove.
i've let go of all that i can right now,
people tell me to forget my past, but how?
i cant let go of my past,
it seems to forever last.
my present is not of its own,
i hope my daily sorrows havent been shown.
i couldnt stand to tell anyone,
pity and helping hands will be all they become.
i love who i love, but do they love me.
i hope so, cuz i try to be all i can be.
everyday i like to think i get stronger,
and my life will eventually be happy and cry no longer.
ive been given advice to think happy not bad,
but little do they know, most of my memories are sad.
i wish i can look forward to going home,
no matter how many people are around me, i always feel alone.
i love when i meet the goofy me inside,
but i know even before, that part has cried.
my life is a volcano of fire,
everything exploding in its own desire.
im the ground, only to be buried,
sorrow will follow me even when im married.
it feels like i cant do a thing right,
no matter how hard i put up a fight.
when i speak, it seems no one can hear my words,
whenever my mind is settled, pain always gives it a stir.
there are things in life,
that cuts you open like a knife.
and when you feel that bloody sting,
thats when you fall apart with everything.

i know it was super long, but what do you think?

Yah bb25 it is never too late! With kids or no kids anyone can fulfil a dream> It takes time and patience. Don't let that opportunity pass you by so get on it girl you'll be okay... Lots of love your way. Yah Monkie thatpoem was long but that was awesome you got talent and don't ever give up on your dream. That poem is one that i could really relate too. I have come a long way in a strugglinglife and am still there till this day. It really takes courage, confidence and inner beauty to get through those times of misery.. My dream is to be an author or an actress. I've been writing stories like my whole life and I had a small one published in a book called 'Tell You What' and acting is just so much fun. At the moment I'm sending out my photo to loads of agents-wish me luck!!

many people have told me i am wiser thn my average age but i dont take it to the head cuz if i do it will only turn to a lack of wisdom(ignerance) instead od wisdom.butthanks. modeling is a good dream but i have heard many stories that they end up anerexic or something but it can happen if you really want it to but from a fellow booper and friend to another, just be careful when they call you. wen u wait for their response dont say i hope they will call, say that they are gonna call, that shows a sense os faith. and if they dont the others will. dont lose hope or faith as they turn you down(if they do). dont let it get you down, keep your head up high, and as aalyah said dust ya shouldas off and try again.

I hear you girls... monkie is wise. Its crazy cause i am in a GOALS class and it helps build self-esteem and that is so similar to what i learned the other day! and this baby girl knows before i did! When she said "say there gonna call". Its a sign of confidence and thinking positive. It really is a great thing to do you knowi have been doing it the last few days with lil post its with good things about myself on my mirror and i recite them everymorning and since then i am feeling better about myself already! It is real coo.. one thing though monkie just don't grow up to fast you still got many years ahead of you... Take Care!
