Use Everyday?

:D Hi every booper! Say how many of us that collect Betty Boop use their collection in everyday life? Or are the majority of us collect Betty Boop treasures as collectables only?:cool:
I started out collecting betty's with the thought of an everyday use to themand I still look for that first before I buy. It's got to be Betty and it has to be functional, for me:D What's are other Boopers slant on this?;) :cool:

Most of mine are collections, such as pictures, figurines, etc. I do have an alarm clock and lamp that I use daily and t-shirts that I wear. Other than that, the rest are simply as collectibles or decoration.

Sorry about that. I didn't know there was anything wrong with using it. I didn't read the new board rules, at least they're new to me, about using other BB sites images. :o

i usually collect figurines, but i have 2 pull overs that i wear and 2 tshirts and a wool jacket that i wear too i also have a mug i used to use!! but i'm afraid to break it so i put it on the "shelf collection" with the other stuffs

:D Hey, that's okay. Sometimes I forget and trail off with complementing someone on how cute something is and then remember, oh yeah!:rolleyes: A big duh for me:D But with all that is going on in this forum and things to come there is so much great fun just chatting with all the other boopers.:D This is such a neat, clean place to meet and chat. I have seen so many and been in so many forums that I had to give them up because they didn't care how they talked or who they insulted.:rolleyes: Not this group. My collection is so big now that I can't display everything at once like I'd like to. I used to collect anything I pretty much liked and could use, but then once I used it, it would get messed up. Now, I buy items that I absolutely can't walk out of the store without and just display it. I have used wallets and key chains, but they aren't in such great condition anymore and I would never be able to toss them out. I want to save them as perfect as possible for as long as possible.
I have bought a few bandanas that I use now and a really cool lanyard for my keys. Otherwise, it's on the shelf.

:D Welcome! I hear you about perserving your Collection. The only things I keep as a display would be like my salt & pepper shaker with betty on a Harley.
I don't know if you have checked out Valerie's picture of her Betty Boop sweater (although she doesn't use the word sweater, but rather a un pull) in the thread "Are you a parent?":cool: I want to make one like that to wear for fun days:D Welcome to the forum and talk to you later;)

how are you ? it seems to be ages since i've heard of you ! we have Stella baptised last sunday, she was an angel ! she staid quiet all long !
it's been nice weather for a quite long time now and gardens needs water, i have to water my flowers ! Our garages will be soon finish we have electricity done nearly and Pascal told me that would be a great idea to decorate our new bedroom with BB stuffs! i can't wait any longer now !!!! read you soon

It totally depends on the object. Whether or not I use it. Depends on how much money I spend on the object and whether or not it breaks. Then it goes behind glass.

bboop480...I know what ya mean. There are some BB things ya just don't want them to get damaged. One of the things I keep behind glass (curio) is my BB on her motorcycle (it's a clock). THe little handlebars and spokes on the wheels and her little fingers (each one so carefully detailed and outlined) are sooooo delicate.

Oh my! If it gets broken...I'll be Booped!!!

i have a betty biker thats like a pill box...so delicate...yep the delicates are in the glass cabinet but my cuddly dolls are on the wall and dresser for my hands to cuddle with...especially my baby boop...sooo cute!

My collection is mostly things I use and enjoy very much. My wallet, eye glass case, note pad,pen and pill case. Oh and the Betty charge card. Just a few items in my collection. D;

My breakable items are in a glass case.
I have four little hands that would love to get ahold of my things and play with them.
I have my other things on my shelves, cabinets, tables, and just about everywhere.
My dolls all sit out and my girls know they can look but not touch.

I ave 3 set of PJ's and i had a purse but sadly i lost it but i do think it is in my hosue some where is it is not all that bad!!!!!!!!!!!!! And hopely when i go to New York i can get more stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!
So does anyone ave any suggest where i could get BB stuff in New York or the rest the U.S

i use my purse when i go out and i have aa BB nightie i sleep in quite alot :) i also have various t-shirts with her on i wear sometimes! and not forgetting, UNDERWEAR! lol

I have a set of BB PJ's that I really like. The rest of them (3 other sets) are just sitting in a drawer!

Do they make a BB Phone? That would be kool, I just had a phon put in the house and have to buy a new phone. We have been living with just cell phones for the past year an a half. Yikes scary stuff:)
