Mgchan gave me the idea of creating a french lesson I think we can start by simple things (about BB for example) to get the right pronounciation the only thing to do is learning phonetic signs and look in a dictionary because i can't write on my computor al the signs .
Perhaps we can start by saying :

Hello, my name is valerie, i've been registred on this site for a fortnight, i collect all the things concerning BB and good night to everybody mad about BB

i would like this lesson be an active lesson, so i would appreciate if anybody having a better idea on the translation of a word or sentance, feels free to correct or give new ideas or ways of translating anything on here !

i would also like this site be an exchange of our coutumes (is it the same word for you ?) i mean habit of our countries, to know for exemple if we celebrate the same things . Any ideas ?

Today the sun is shining i'll go in the garden to plnt flowers

i thought it would be a good idea if i send you the reciepy of cakes we make for Mardi Gras ! Have a try


BEIGNETS DE CARNAVAL

500 grammes de farine 500gr of flour
4 oeufs 4 eggs
400ml de lait 400ml of milk
4 cuillers à soupe d'huile 4 tablespoons of oil
1 sachet de levure chimique 1 small paket (7gr)
melanger ensemble tous les ingrédients, laisser reposer la pate au moins une heure

etaler la pâte sur 1/2cm d'épaisseur couper ensuite diverses formes (pourquoi pas la tête de Betty boop ! ) triangles, ronds etc en prenant soin de faire une fente au centre pour la cuisson

faire chauffer 1litre d'huile dans une casserole et plonger les beignets pas trop en même temps. Laisser cuire jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient dorés

Déposer les beignets sur sur papier absorbant et saupoudrez de sucre glace

BON APPETIT !

Mix all ingredients together, let the pastry for at least one hour before using it.

Spread the pastry so it comes to 1/2centimeter thickness and cut various shapes in it (why not BB's face !) triangles, squares, rectangles etc..... circles and make an incision in the shape so it cooks better .

make 1 litter heat in a pan let it be very hot and put the BEIGNETS in the frying oil not too many at the same time .Let cook untill they become gold.

Put the BEIGNETS on a sheat of absorbing paper spread icing sugar on

except that you must write je mange instead of je mangent (nt are letters you put at the end of verb when you say they = ils mangent
but it's perfectly understandable ! ce soir j'ai mangé une omelette
tonight i ate an omelette ! et je vais prendre quelques beignets en dessert (and i'll have some beignets as a dessert !

Yes that's what i realise the other day, usually i get all your messages from the eve every morning while Stella is asleep, it's almost 9am today the 8th of marsh and Stella has already had her bath and is asleep (not for long i suppose) it's gonna be a hot day today for that ! well i can hear her moving actually (bad for me, not much spare time for me !)
my family was kidding me last day telling me : well you're not a YOUR computer today and told them it's time to bed for my friends i'll get their messages tomorrow! they all said Ah well yes!
however it always amazes me to be able to speak with so many friendly people so far from me in kilometers and different hours ! lets go on it's ok for me;) :)

concerning clothing here are a few words you can use for different tops

t shirt: there is only on word = t shirt now saying "un top" is more fashionable" nowadays youngsters always "Oh t'as vu ce p'*** top , ?

i think using top is only for little thing for summer like sleevesess t shirts or t shirts

concerning winter tops you can say pull or pull over

we don't usually use sweater but often sweat shirt and most people pronounce it sweet shirt , This word is used everything that is not whool and having long sleeves

here are a few precisions concerning different words for the same subject, i have to go Stella is called me (well shouting and that is not the same word for the same things !!!!!!!!!hihihihihi :eek:

Do you prepare Easter in US and what do you do for your children ?

Pour nos enfants, nous cachons des oeufs en chocolat dans les jardins ou même des vrais oeufs que nous décorons, nous disons (selon les régions) que ce sont les cloches ou le lièvre qui les cache !
For our children, we hide eggs in the garden they're chocolate eggs (or others figurines,never seen BB yet!!!!!) or real eggs (boiled eggs) that we decorate with painting . We say it's the bells from church or the rabbit which come and hide the eggs (it depends on which place in France you live in .

Alors Roxane me demande déjà quand est-ce qu'on va chercher les oeufs
So my girl Roxaneis already asking me when she'll look for the eggs in the garden !

In some villages, the eggs are hidden in all the village and even adults go looking for the eggs with a basket in their arms !

aujourd'hui on a célébré le baptème de ma fille Stella, on a eu une super journée, on a invité toute la famille au restaurant, il a fait beau toute la journée malgré les prévisions météo qui prévoyaient de la pluie toute la journée (ils se trompent tout le temps !)
Today we celebrated Stella baptism, we've had a really nice day, we invited our all family tot the restaurant,yhe sun was shining all day although the weather forcast had said it would rain all day (they always make mistake in their forcast!)

Stella a été sage toute la journée, mais elle a du mal à s'endormir ce soir parce qu'elle a vu tant de gens différents aujourd'hui, (nous étions 45)

Stella has been nice all day but tonight she finds hard to go to bed as she saw so many people today, (we were 45 all together)

today i've been to the doctor's with Stella

elle n'est pas malade mais c'est une visite obligatoire, pour continuer à toucher les allocations

she's fine but it's a compulsary visit to be able to continue to get allocation

elle a 9 mois masintenant, le temps passe très vite, alors je dis à toutes les futures maman du site de bien profiter de chaque instant de la vie de leur bébé

she's 9 months old now,time goes fast,so i tell everymothertobe of this site to take time tobe with their baby to more they can to take advantage of each moment of their baby's life

cette année je ne pourrai pas descendre en ville car Stella est encore trop petite pour supporter tout le bruit qu'il y aura, mais ma grande fille Maïlys va aller s'amuser avec ses copains et ses copines

it allows the small groups to be known...

(sorry but stella is appearing from nowhere and saw "boopboop" on the cursor, that makes her in transe!!!!!!!! she loves her already, she already have a boopboop girl! the probleme is that she want to use the computer!!!!!!)

....and believe me some should be famous instead of others already famous who don't deserve it!

thanks for your mail, here i am again but nearly no time to read my mails and answer,
guess how many washing i 've done since i came back (a week ago!)...............................
18 washing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's a good job the weather is fine, so it's drying very fast, i'm not telling you about ironing, i must start one day!!!!!!!!!!!!
we really had nice holidays and hope to return next year, though we came back a day before before of fires that grew bigger, they had to shut motorway A8 and some campsites had to be deserted becaause of fires, 9000 hectares (can't translate in your measures but it's about90000000square meters) it's a lot!!!!!!!!
it's incredible but it's true, i've counted twices because i thought i made a mistake!!!!!! it's never happen since 10 years ago it was about 12000 hectares
well it happens quite often in the south of france, with the heat the wind and stupid people who start fires on purpose!!!!!!

anyway we had really nice holidays in this camp site where you don't have to travel to go shopping anything is in the campsite, even a swimming pool, animations, discotheque etc
i'm happy to come back though to meet every boopers again and be in our house, and organise everything .
the most surprising, is that i have to cook again here, at the campsite, you have all sort of food you can take away restaurant, snack, take away food that was the 1rst time for long i could eat at the same time than everybody! and every body together
i have to leave for now i see and read u later have a boop day

Will probably go on holiday for a week sometime in September and two weeks in December. :D

septembre et pour les etudiants, elles peuvent commencer vers
la mi juin et se terminer fin septembre

they start atound the 1rst of july and end the 2sd or3rd of september for children and concerning studiants they can start around half june and end end of september
