I was just wondering what everyone is doing for Halloween this year? Well since this is my son's very first Halloween my husbands mom made my son A little pumpkin bunting costume with A little hat so we will dress him up in it and his grandparents (my parents) are coming over to see their grandson and we are going to give out candy and watch scary movies. We thought about taking Joel trick or treating but he is still to young and me and daddy don't need to be eating all that candy:D Don't worry I plan on taking lots of pictures of Joel in his costume and I will share them all with you guy's.

We are not doing the halloween thing. We are having a youth lock-in at the church. We have lots of games planned and lots of candy sweet treats for the kids.

I think it's safer to celebrate Halloween with your church or school if you have young children.

Since we live out in the country, we don't have any Halloween visitors. They go to the local firestation or church or school.

Those are the safe places to go.

Our youth lock in was going to be based on Bible activities and themes, but some pumpkins and ghosts got put out with the decorating. Most of the activities I planned are Bible themed, except for the hiding seek and the bean bag toss game. I have orange pumpkin bags for the candy. I am kind of nervous about this. I want everyone to have a good time and I really don't get into the decorating with ghosts and witches etc.
I read a passage in the Bible and to me it says not to be partakers in this stuff. I have the Bible reference if anyone wants it. This is the way I feel and I know that not everyone feels the same way that I do and that is why I am nervous, I don't want my beliefs to hurt anyone.

Don't be nervous Mrs. B... it sounds to me like you are doing the right thing. You know that your heart and beliefs are bible based and that's what is important.

mY HUSBAND WILL BE WORKING THAT DAY SO I GUESS THAT I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THEM MYSELF. BY THE WAY I GOT AN EMAIL TELLING PEOPLE NOT TO LET THIER CHILDREN HAVE THE GOLD COIN CANDY BECAUSE THERE IS SOME THING IN IT THAT HAS BE KILLING KIDS. IF YOUR CHILD GETS THEM THROW THEM AWAY.

Don't eat the chocolate coin candies!
The little chocolate coins are not safe for kids to eat this Halloween.
They are made in China and contain the Melamine that childrens deaths were related to recently!!!!!!!
With Halloween coming soon, pass this on to your family and friends.
Sherwood's Milk Chocolate Pirate's Gold Coins from China contain
melamine.
It is true, Read the full story at the following link from Snopes:
