I have a Duracolor Animated film of "Betty Boop in Cinderella". The box says it is for use with Uncle Sams Movie Projector. Can you tell me if this is a collectible item and if so the approximate value. Thanks for you help.

Hi PepperJack,
Yes, the Duracolor films are indeed collectible. Here's a little more detail:
Paper Films came in a 1x1x4-inch blue and orange box. The film itself is wound on a wooden bobbin, used with the Uncle Sam’s Projector and the Duratone Talkie System. Films came separate, or in a box of six. Each film box was printed (not stamped) with “Betty Boop” and the title. Set No. 80 was one of the Betty Boop sets:
No. F81 Peter and Wendy
No. F82 She Loves Him Not
No. F83 Cinderella
No. F84 The Bullfighter
No. F85 Beauty and the Beast
No. F86 In Holland
Films sold separately did not have a number:
Cinderella
A Little Spanish Town
Made by Durable Toy & Novelty Corp. 200 Fifth Avenue, New York.
As far as value, I have seen single films sell for $20 to $50, sets of six average $50 to $100. Much depends on the condition of the "film", as these are actually paper, and the box it comes in.

Hi,
I'll need more info about the napkin holder, such as any markings, dates, etc on the item. I suspect this is a recent item, and as such, has value to you as a collector. If it is a vintage item, then some pictures would be in order, esp to share this with other collectors!

It would be helpful if you could post a photo of it.

Hi flirting . .. . it is hard to determine a "value" based on the information you provided. What markings, printing, etc is on the item? What condition is it in? The most important thing is if YOU like it! A picture would also be helpful.
