Hi Bbooper My name is Denise I have been collecting Betty for 25 years and own Heavenly Choice home of the Betty Boop Festival for the last 19 years.This is my first time on this site , so please
help me learn. I promised Michael I would be a contributer.
Thank you for being the first to love my festival artwork, I also was fasinated by it's sheer beauty in colors.The art is from Japan, and I'm trying to find out the artist's name. In regards to your shipping problems. Most of the Vandor pieces are actually packed to tightly for shipping long distances and also need a softer wrap.
They should be double boxed with a minimum of 4-6 inches of air / strrofoam balls on all sides. Unfortunately this increaes the cube size and increases shipping costs. So most people pack tighter and the items break. Also try not to ship a heavy item with a fragile one ...as the box is thrown around & tumbles the shock of the heavier item landing on the fragile one will break it. I hope this helps. Hey Follow Boopers!
I remember having this conversation a couple of years ago with other bb fans and I do not know what ever happened with thoughs plans.
So I say, WHY NOT, have a convention? Reno, sounds like a good central location for people, plus now that we know that there a convention elsewhere, maybe they can direct a physical group on the in's and out's of a successful convention.
Let's get it some energy and see where it goes.

Hey Felloow Boopers;
A couple of years ago a friend had a party called or themed "Poodle Ladies Go Hollywood". So I dressed myself as BB, with a long red dress and the curly hair. It was a little hard to do for my hair is shoulder length and my children thought I was nuts. But let me tell you, it came in handy being dressed like that, for that evening, on my way home, there was a Drunk Driver Check Point. I was not under the influence but it took 5 Sheriffs with Highway Patrol to give the test and then let me off. When I got home, I just laughed my buttom off, for I looked myself in the mirror and saw what they saw. You quess?

I don't understand on what you are trying to explain. Are you saying that a business owner have a Betty Boop Day. Lets see how that would work???
Again a business owner would let people have displays of BB and visitors purchase a raffle ticket and sometime during the event, the raffle number is drawn and that person wins whatever the owner decides. It could work with a little tweek. Would help if anyone wants to do it.

would it not be great if we could sell betty items like avon...having a book of her own and going out and showing people the beautiful things of betty???

Now that is an idea!!! Get other people in your work environment together and have a Betty Boop Day. Agree not to be so over but also just enough to get the point across. If anyone has a collection and they would like scale down their collection. Have a Swap Meet during lunch or get together after work for cocktails and Boop until the Boopers come home. Only a thought.
