I would trust my best friend with my life, I really would, but I don't tell her every single thing. She knows me inside out - we've been best friends for 13 years but as you get a bit older, you don't feel the need to share every secret with your best friend. That's not to say that you shouldn't though! :) xx

My last GIRL best friend had me in her Wedding and when I asked her to be my maid of honor in my wedding she said yes then only a month before my wedding she said she could not cause her hubby had their weekend planned yet she would try to make it to my wedding. My best friend,is a lady I grew up with. I met her when she was 4 and she had the most orange red pigtails. We used to live in the same building in Manhattan. Now as adults we are across the street from each other. It was not planned but that is the way it worked out. Since she has been a single mother for years now she and her daughter are an extension of our family.

For the last 6 years she is my boss at the office.

So any life events in my family she is a part of, and visa versa.

Our friendship is very special!

A best friend is someone who YOU can count on...no matter what. Funny thing...they are few and far apart.
My husband (even tho he talks a bit much at times) is my best friend.

Er-r-r...think that's why my marriage has lasted about 15 years now.

Ya've gotta know when to go and when to stop. What to say and what to not. Besides...the little gossip my husband does is with family. I can sorta handle that.

He might tell my brother that I said his BBQ didn't have enough seasoning in it...or something like that.

I think there maybe a line you need to draw somewhere in telling your "best friend" everything. I had shared some really personal information with a best friend of mine and she told her husband (who worked for my dad) and of course during small talk little things came out here and there. I know you are suppose to tell your husband everything so I guess that is why she felt the need to share with him. So from that point on I decided that you do have to limit what you tell a best friend.

Well good question! I consider my good friends "good" because we have grown up together and we do talk just not all the time and maybe not about everything. Prime example: The entertainers in the world today.
at 1:30pm they are in the church or before the JP...saying " I DO ". and at 2:45pm...they have discovered that "They can't" and they want to have it nulled and void.

OK...Here's the senario:

Your "so called" "best friend" asks you to go out of town with her. You told her you will get back with her a little bit later to let her know whether or not you can or will travel with her.

In the meantime...she has asked her "Other" "GOOD" friend if she is available to go and she readily agrees that she will make the trip.

You have NO idea that the GOOD friend has also been asked and when you call to confirm that you will go on the trip...you are told, "There is a change of plans...and will get a call back if things change again".

What would you do?

NOTE: The "GOOD friend and the "BEST friend" talked to each other is how it was found out that both had been asked.

I am back to my posting!!

I was gone for a couple of days.

Had to take my daughter to the eye doctor on Wednesday and get her muscles examined in her leg on Thursday. I have been a busy bee!!

Does she need to wear glasses?

Glasses, yes, she has actually had them since she was about 11 months old. When she was 2 she had surgery on her right eye. The muscle was weak and she wasn't able to keep her eye from turning in.

Her muscles in her right leg are weak. Actually her whole right side is weak. This is from a disability she has due from being without oxygen the first few minutes when she was born.
But she is my fighter and she doesn't let anything stop her or let it get her down. That's my baby girl!!!
