I truly have NO IDEA what the value of this collection is! To me, it doesn't matter, it's just fun finding things and adding. I especially like to find old ads, and the more unique and obscure items. Just discovering a new (old) item that I haven't seen before is exciting.
This collection has been growing for about 20 years, and I've documented over 3,000 items (I think I have most of them!)
I hope you enjoy collecting, too.

Hey Boopman I thought I was an avid collector!! Wow these are great pictures... how in the world do you keep it all dusted???? That's my biggest problem!!
P.S. I can see where all the profit from your book sales are going... right back into Betty Boop merchandise!!!

Dusting??? Oh, ya, you had to remind me!! I just get the cats to jump up on the shelves and wave their tails all over - just kidding! Actually, it is nice to go through and actually look at each item. And what you don't see are all the pins, buttons, paper items such as cards and postcards, books, magazines, etc. Whew! Thanks very much for all the comments and nice feedback.

Whew is right!! I have so much stuff that I've added to my collection recently that the majority of it is still sitting in unopened boxes on the floor and on top of the display cabinets.
Is there ever a good time to stop addint to your collection? LOL!!

The biggest challenge I see is finding room for everything and the really big one is finding enough money to buy all the BB items you want!!

booperbritenay there is probably BB stuff in Kentucky.
Wal-Mart carries some BB things.
Always keep an eye out for yard/garage sales too.
Antique shops are a good place to check out as well.
And if all else fails you can always shop online for Ms.Betty!!
Good luck on finding BB!!

So you have a Betty Boop tattoo? What is the image you have of her on your arm?
Hi booperbritenay... welcome to our forum too!!! So you live in Kentucky and you can't find Betty Boop in any of your local shops? BettyBoopFan just gave you some good advice on where to start searching for items to add to your collection.

Thanks for all the comments, guys (gals)..... these pictures are a couple years old, so there are a few more things. ANd of course, none of the ephemera is displayed, so if I feel industrious one day, I'll go through some of that and make up some new pics to post.
And of course the BOOK has even more photos.....

do you know when these trays were produced??? I have one of this type of Betty on a rocking horse dressed up as a cowgirl...
are they late 50s/early 60s?
I made a thread already about this subject, but perhaps i should go to the source!
Hi Layne,
For some reason I never saw your question about the Lulu trays . . . I guess you posted it in January, I just now saw it! Apologies!!
These trays first were made in the late 1970s, early 1980s, and were made without license. The company (Pascual) has since been nationalized, the people and records gone, so I was never able to get an accurate date. But they continued through the late 1980s until they were finally forced to stop using Betty (and Donald Duck) on their items. Funny thing is these are not their products, they are just marketing gimmicks. Chapter 17 in my book has a variety of these products documented.
