Update/Collectioin/ Me!!

Hey ya all How is everything.!!?? I finally got the rest of my pics all toghther and in one place. It is not much compared to Lenorad!!;) But that is ok I am anxious to let you all see what I have. I enjoy my stuff. I have a pair of boop earings that did not make it on there but they are so cute. They are heart shaped with Mz. Betty on there.....

On the other hand me and the baby are doing good we are getting lots of sleep and on July 15th I have an ultrasound to find out how the baby is doing and maybe find out what he/she is!! They are even going to video tape it for me !!! Isn't that great!!
I really want a girl....I am having a hard time picking out a middle name for the name I have, cause I do not want Marie that is mine, but with your alls help I am sure I can find one I like. I am so looking forward to having a baby. Makes me feel good.I can't wait......

yes she really does have some wonderful items in her collection. My husband Don keeps telling me that I need to organize my collectibles into a journal or record for insurance purposes. I know he is right but it just sounds like a lot of work.

i'm going to start that in my new BB journal :D i'm going to take pictures of my collection and when i get new items take picture's ofthose too. i'm also going to use it as a BB scrap book at the same time :D

I found a Betty Boop spoon to add to my collection, I will leave it in its box since I would never use something like that to eat off. I love my Boop PJ's and my Boop underware, but unfourtunately I got those back when I was 12 and now at 24 they have holes in them but they still fit. I think I need to replace them!!!LOL:D

Here's an update about my collection though that isn't making me smile very much.

I just purchased a Betty Boop cookie jar from eBay and when I got it I discovered that it was defective and I had so badly wanted to add it to my collection too. The seller described it as being in excellent condition but it wasn't and I am so disappointed. There is no way I can add this item to my collection and I can't resell it either. Isn't that sad?

So a word from the wise... be careful when buying from auctions because sometimes you may not get what you thought you were getting. At least that's what happened with me.

I had the item insured and I'm going to file a claim for reimbursement.. in the meantime, I found another cookie jar and bought it and it arrived safe and sound. It's the Betty Black and White series... are you familiar with it?

I actually have two of these cookie jars.
I received both one year for Christmas.
One from my mom and one from my mom-in-law.
I use one and the other sets on my shelf in the living area.
I also have the salt and pepper shaker that is identical to the cookie jar.

Yes that's it!!! The whole set is a cookie jar, salt and pepper shaker set, pump lotion/soap bottle and a utensil holder. All items are retired so hold on to your cookie jars.

One of my friends told me she doesn't like them because they are black and white but I reminded her that that is how Betty Boop began life.. in black and white cartoons...

My advice is to keep all Betty Boop collectibles for the future as they nearly all become more valuable over time.

i agree. i keep anything of BB, i wouldn't be able to bring myself to get rid of anything anyway, but i know in the future they'll be worth alot to someone either centimentally or money value wise!

I know that sometimes they can become pretty valuable... the older they are, the more value they have.. not only to other collector's but to to the person who currently has it in their own collection.

Well things are going very well so far, the boys are doing good. Austin will have another ear surgery in another 3 months I plan on having it after his birthday cause his birthday is in 3 months:) They get big fast!! As for Eddy the little fart is growing fast!!! He is up to 10lbs. 10oz!! He is developing a personality, he is smilling and makin all sorts of new sounds for us. He is still sleeping peacfully for us at night!! He is usually out between 9:30 to 10:30, and up at 7:30. I just pray he keeps sleeping like that:)

I miss you guys. Take care. The contests sound so much fun. I have my stuff still, but I really do not have much, I do hope that the items find a good home to go to. But of course they will cause we all love that Ms. Boop so much..

My collection has expanded, I found BB socks, an I have a BB collectors candle!! I gotta love it when I get a candles that has Mz. Boop on it totally cool!!
You know those dolls that are wooden and you open them up and there is another inside and then another in that an so forth?!! I found some of Betty, they are totatlly cool!! I have had those for a while, I found them at JC Penny's. Totally a weird place to find boop stuff huh!!??

Thank to Boopfan, I now have two BB calanders, one for the desk and one for the kitchen. I am loving them. I think I use my desk calander more than the one in the kitchen although I am in the kitchen more often through out the day!!

Talking about the kitchen that reminds me I need to post a recipe in the recipe thread.


Oh yea, and there is info on Eddy in the Baby News thread. If anyone wants to know what is going on with him:)
