Please share your thoughts about President Ronald Reagan here.
I thought he was a great governor when I lived in California and I admired and respected him so very much when he was President.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy Reagan and her family. I cry everytime I see something about it on television. It is a sad time for our country.

Watched the Rotunda. Beautiful ceremony. Great man! Mrs. Reagan is 82 years old. She looked as though she would drop at any second. My heart soooooo went out to her.
She has been a very strong person through this entire ordeal.

I just got back from the post office and they have posted a sign that the post office will be closed tomorrow in observance of his funeral.
I'm glad to see that he is getting so much respect and dignity during these past few days.
Watching it on television is so difficult because it makes me so sad. It reminds me of John Kennedy's funeral. They both were good presidents and both made an impact in my life.
My heart goes out to Nancy Reagan because she just looks so heartbroken and so tired. I hope she will be ok... this must surely be the most difficult thing she has ever had to do in her life.

I watched the funeral in Washington DC this morning and was so moved by the touching speeches given by Margaret Thatcher and the former President Bush and current President Bush. It was wonderful to see the outpouring of love and admiration for Ronald Reagan and his family. I will never forget him or his funeral. I plan to watch the internment this evening.
I just got off the phone with my grandmother. She is 97 and has a birthday coming up on July 5th and she said she has a feeling this will be her last one and she will be seeing President Reagan very soon.
I reminded her that she said she wanted to live to at least 100 and she said "well you just take one day at a time and see what God gives you." She's pretty special to me!!

97? That's quite a bit of time on this earth. Wow! Granny has seen and heard alot. That's beautiful!
...and she's right..."one day at a time and see what God gives you". Only HE can give you extended hours, days, weeks, and years!!
I have a brother who has a birthday on July 5.

wow look at all these July 5th birthdays!!!
I was so impressed by what Margaret Thatcher had to say about Ronald Reagan... she is really a well spoken woman!! What a treasure for Great Britain to have such wonderful women!!
I heard someone talking recently about how mature and well mannered British young ladies are and I agreed!!! I know first hand from all the British young ladies here on the forum...
boy I really got off the topic of Ronald Reagan here.... I saw the funeral in California last Friday evening and it was a beautiful sunset service .... all in all I think the American people and the world gave him some very nice compliments!!
