Where Has Everyone Gone?

I noticed that there are 37 pages of well over 300 BB members. Here...there's only about 10 who post "REGULARLY".
Where are they MGCHAN? What can WE (Boopers) do to entice people to...not just sign up...but sign up and STAY! Is there not enough INTERESTING TOPICS to hold the peoples interest???
Other boards DO have cliques and hoarders true enough...but there's always a "GROUP" of 15 to 25 on there jaw-jacking...AT ONE TIME!!
Not criticising...just looking at the BIG picture!

What can WE (Boopers) do to entice people to...not just sign up...but sign up and STAY!

There are many who just like to read and "lurk" around. Not everyone is comfortable interacting and have a conversation.

Many of the earlier members aren't on as often because of changes in their schedule.

So... we need to get new members to come back here more often and participate!

We're doing as much as we can to make this a fun and dynamic place. Revamping the store was one of our latest high priority. I spoke with a few of our International licensing agents and have asked for their participation here in the forums. This way we'll also have International licensees showcasing their products here! One example could be H&M. ;)

I don't think that this forum is all that unusual. I belong to other clubs and we have the same situation. Lots of members but only a few become actively involved. But that's what life is all about. There are participants and then there are watchers.... I'm glad we have as many participants as we do have and I for one appreciate everyone's involvement.

I was away for a few days because we rode our motorcycles on a trip with a group of Lady Harley riders. We rode up into the pines. It was challenging but lots of fun!! The men had as much fun as we ladies did!

Actually...it is unusual. It's quite different from a lot of the forums. ...and I mean that in a...ummmmm...good way! Even watchers...eventually want to participate. SOme of these people signed on in January 2004 and haven't been back! Surely there has been at least one or two topics that they would have shared in. C'mon.


The topics NEED to be interesting for one thing.

What other things can we as a team do to encourage people to stay after signing on?

Probably more kiddies are signing on here than adults. A lot of the kiddies simply don't know what to talk about. Maybe that's the reason for the absence of communication.

There's the shy...the scared...the lookers. Some of them look before they leap. Some of them look and never leap!

I use my "user name" over and over for every thing. At the bank...I use for the ATM machine the same number that I check my call notes on the cell phone and home phone. It's easier and just makes more sense to me (my opinion).

I spend all my time here most of the time. I guess I have nothing better to do :) So my posts get up there to!! But this is not the only thing I do . I do some house work but that only take a hr out of my time. I always have a clean kitchen and clean clothes for everyone so that makes them happy. My son cleans his room but with school starting we had to move his room around and we washed all of our linens and put fresh stuff on ... He starts KG this August 23 I am going to miss my baby.!! Well...that is a bit much! But...it's ok. I have some areas where she is not. I secretely have J-U-S-T a little bit of here everywhere in the house tho.

It's either a calendar...a picture of her...a metal bank...socks...T-shirts hanging on the door facing...I also used the color scheme on this website to re-do my kitchen.

In my truck...I have her hanging on my morror. That's all. The license plate of BB is in my bathroom with a picture of her from a BB calendar fitted inside.

I'm trying to find the decal for the rear window. Any idea where I can find it?

A couple years ago I bought one of her that was 20 inches tall and put it on the rear window of my car. I got it here at a local flea market. I am not sure of any one place to get one. My parents own Harleys and they go on alot of bike rides to different places so they are always finding me decals and things.

HELP!

I was given this gift.
It is a BB on a motorcycle clock.
One morning I noticed it stopped ticking.
I took it to a local shop for a new battery.
The little back is suppose to screw off and the tiny round battery slips inside and your ticker keeps time again.
Only this one didn't tick.
We tried a couple of batteries.
It still didn't tick.
I feel so bad.

Now I guess it will just sit on my dresser stuck on 6:30.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I had this happen to a couple of my BB clocks. I had to replace the hands on them. I don't know why but they just stopped moving and had to replace the hands. Not sure exactly what the correct name for the little box is that holds the hands. Maybe you could try that?

Oh my! I didn't think about the hands not turning. I am thinking it is the battery compartment.

I've got to keep the face b'cause it has a BB background. How in the world do I get to the little hands?

On mine if you turn the hands one at a time, counter clock wise they start to unscrew. that is how you remove them from my clock. Try that.

Oh I don't think that is true at all... I have lots of Betty Boop and Harley-Davidson items and they are all genuine and made with real quality. Unfortunately I think your clock was just a lemon and hopefully it can be easily repaired.

No. I've not gotten it repaired. I talked to a gentleman who repairs clocks and <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_100.gif' alt='Alarm Clock' border=0></a>watches and he told me that he would take a look at it for me.
As soon as I have time...I'll pay him a visit.

That being said, I hope you can get your clock fixed too. I have a box of broken items that I need to throw in the trash because they can't be fixed but I just can't bring myself to throw any Betty stuff away.. now how bad is that? LOL......

Some people have had problems with the smilies, Lil. Sometimes it makes their computer run slow. My hubby took them off my computer but I put them back on. I haven't noticed it running slow......yet!
